  1. What Resources Are Available to Candidates And Test Sites?


  2. How Quickly Can Candidates Schedule To Take the Exam After Completing the Course?

    Beginning July 16, 2025, the required lead time for Candidates to schedule the skills exam has been reduced from 10 calendar days to 2 calendar days. The scheduling time period does not include the event date.

    Example:
    Candidate Application Was Approved to Test = 7/16/2025
    Earliest Date Candidate Can Take the Exam = 7/19/2025

    A Candidate may experience delays if their Training Program has not approved their application to take the Nurse Aide or Medication Aide – Nursing Home exam within Credentia’s Platform. This is a required step to ensure the Candidate completed a state-approved training program.

  3. How Quickly Can Candidates Cancel Or Reschedule An Examination?

    Candidates can cancel and reschedule an examination until 10 calendar days before the exam date.  The cancellation or rescheduling time period does not include the event date.

  4. What Are the Possible Reasons Why A Candidate Cannot See Available Test Dates?

    • The Candidate is using a mobile device.
    • The Candidate has entered the incorrect INF test site code.
    • The Candidate may need to adjust the date range and the distance/mileage while searching for open skills test seats.
    • Not all Candidates can see test dates available at an In-Facility Test (INF) location. For INF test dates, only the Candidates that completed the training course at the INF location can see exam availability and schedule to take the exam at the location.
    • The exam date has not been confirmed by a Nurse Aide Evaluator.

  5. What is the Minimum Number of Candidate Registrations Needed Before A Skills Exam Is Cancelled?

    A skills exam will be cancelled if the minimum number of Candidate registrations is not met.

    The minimum number of Candidate registrations is five (5).

  6. What Should Candidates Due If They Need Special Accommodations?

    Accommodations must be requested before registering and scheduling an exam. All requests for accommodation must be submitted with the testing application online through the Credentia Platform. The testing application form has a section dedicated to accommodations.
