Geriatric Aides must be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry before they can be added to the North Carolina Geriatric Aide Registry.
Community Colleges should notify the Division of Health Service Regulation when an individual successfully completes a state-approved training program. The notification should include the individual’s North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry listing number.
There is no registry expiration date or renewal requirement.
North Carolina does not list Geriatric Aides by reciprocity, endorsement, or transfer from other states.
Geriatric Aides are responsible for ensuring their name and contact information remain current in the registry. To update registry information, submit the Registry Change Request Form.
