Pursuant to G.S. § 90-171.38 and 21 NCAC Chapter 36, the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) regulates nursing schools which prepare individuals to practice nursing as registered and licensed practical nurses in North Carolina. Therefore, the NCBON has management responsibility for nursing school programs that meet the requirements for state-approved Nurse Aide I training.
